The Convention Center Apartment in Washington, DC

Although the Convention Center Apartment is in the English Basement of our home, as you can see from our photos that it is cheery and filled with light.   You enter the apartment into its hallway which runs the length of the house and connects all the rooms.

To get to your bedroom, just follow the hallway to the rear of the home. While this is a Victorian building, we find that most of our guest appreciate the contemporary furnishings, wall-to-wall carpeting and updated amenities. There is plenty of storage (a walk-in closet & chest of draws) and a work desk. Your bedroom has satellite TV and there is wireless Internet throughout the apartment.  The queen size bed is very comfortable, and of course, is dressed with top quality linens.   We always keep the bedroom stocked with plenty of fresh towels and tolletries.   The full bathroom is off the main hallway by the bedroom.

One apartment-type feature that you will not find in a hotel is the washer-dryer located in the alcove by the bedroom.  Another convenient feature is the private secured parking space at the rear of the building.   Your apartment has a back entrance directly to our garden and the parking area.

As this is a full apartment, you also have a living room and kitchen.   The living room is the first room off the hallway as you enter the apartment.   The spacious room features comfortable seating, a compact stereo, and plenty of room for relaxing.

The full kitchen is accessible directly from the living room or off the main hallway.    There kitchen include a recently updated refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher.  The pantry is stocked with dishes, silverware, papers goods - most everything you would need to prepare and serve a meal except the food (a grocery store is within a blocks walk.)  There is also a dining table with seating for four in the kitchen.
