When you make a reservation, you will be given our direct telephone number so that you can contact should you need assistance upon arrival.  We also appreciate you letting us know if your arrival is significantly delayed from your scheduled arrival time.

If arriving by car:

Most guests traveling by car can simply follow signs to Washington Convention Center.  Once at the Convention Center you are very close to our home.  We are just north of Massachusetts Avenue, close to where it crosses New York Avenue.

If arriving from the north, take the Baltimore-Washington Parkway into the city.  It merges onto  New York Avenue which leads direct to the Convention Center.

If arriving from the south, take Interstate 395 to 12th Street, then following it northwards.

Use the above Google Map to print detailed directions if you need them.  Don't hesitate to call us if you get lost.

The property is on Tenth Street, NW, between M and N Streets. Tenth Street is a one-way southbound street with 2-hour parking on both sides.  Your apartment includes a secure parking area at the rear of the property.  The parking pad can accommodate normal-sized sedans and small- to medium-sized SUVs and is easy enough to access from the alley, which runs between 10th and 11th Streets.  It is secured by a roll-up metal door which is remotely activated (You will be given a handheld remote control to use during your stay).  A self-service 24 hr gas station is about 3 blocks away, on Ninth Street, near 0 Street.

If arriving by TRAIN:

Union Station is approximately less than one mile to the east.   A taxi from the station is probably the best option when travelling with luggage.   You can also take the Red Circulator Bus which departs every 10 minutes to the Convention Center then walk 2 blocks north.

If arriving by AIR:

Washington, DC is serviced by three airports.  From any of the 3 airports you can take the Super Shuttle Van.

Trips to Baltimore-Washington (BWI) are $35.00 for the first passenger and $12.00 for a second passenger. For Dulles (IAD) the rates are $27.00/$10.00, and for Reagan National (DCA) the rates are $12.00 and 10.00.

From Reagan National Airport one can take the Yellow Line Metro (subway) directly from the airport to the Mt. Vernon Square / Convention Center station, two blocks from the property.  Taxi service is also available and is relatively inexpensive when traveling from Reagan National.

wHEN cOMING FROM nEW yORK OR pHILADELPHIA:

A recent option for folks coming from New York City and Philadelphia are the new, clean, inexpensive private bus lines that carry passengers from NYC to downtown DC for $30 and less.  Bolt Bus and Megabus arrives and departs from Metro Center (11th and G Streets, NW). The DC2NY Bus arrives and departs  from 14th and I Streets, NW.

Although the apartment provides nearby access to many places, there may well be times when a taxi is best, such as late at night. Diamond Cab (tel 202-387-6200) dispatches taxis quickly and will arrive at times you arrange.  For trips to Union Station or the airports, you can call the day before to arrange pick up.
